Anonymous Collection Cassette #219 presents The Bluegrass Cardinals–Don Parmley on banjo, his teenage son David Parmley on guitar (who currently performs with the hard-driving bluegrass band, David Parmley & Continental Divide), and mandolinist Randy Graham (along with an unknown bass player) at an unknown and boisterous club in 1978. The Bluegrass Cardinals were formed several years earlier in southern California and had migrated to Virginia around the time that this performance was recorded. Careful ears will detect the presence of famed bluegrass maestro, John Duffey, on guest vocals and mandolin. The Cardinals were renowned for their pristine harmony vocals, which are in full evidence here.
